See your match score & applyThe WBG Pioneer internship offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high impact learning experience at the heart of global development. The intern will support outcome measurement capacity building, jobs delivery and Jobs Council secretariat support, and knowledge products and visibility efforts within the Department for Outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Support planning and delivery of capacity-building activities by maintaining calendars and trackers and supporting participant and speaker coordination.
- Draft and format workshop and learning materials, including slides, exercises, and handouts, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Organize and maintain repositories of materials, including session presentations, reference lists, and examples of good practice.
- Draft short session summaries and communications for internal audiences, including announcements, invitations, and recap notes.
- Support simple feedback collection for learning events and synthesize feedback into short notes to inform improvements.
- Help coordinate partner sessions and curate knowledge shared across the network.
- Support jobs-related analysis by compiling, cleaning, and organizing relevant information and data from WBG operational and corporate sources.
- Summarize key findings and trends in short, clear notes for internal use.
- Develop slide-ready visuals such as tables, charts, and simple summaries for leadership-facing materials.
- Support Jobs Council and related engagements by helping prepare meeting materials, including draft agendas, background notes, participant lists, research papers, and concise slide packs.
- Track follow-up actions, deliverables, and timelines related to Jobs Council engagements.
- Support development of outward- and inward-facing communications and knowledge products, including drafting or editing short blogs, briefs, scripts, or summaries linked to outcomes measurement, long-term outcomes, and results measurement approaches.
- Support the preparation of roundtable or workshop outputs (e.g., summary notes, synthesis slides, participant takeaways).
- Assist with basic formatting and quality assurance to ensure materials are polished and aligned with WBG style.
Requirements
- Undergraduate track: final-year bachelor’s students.
- Postgraduate track: students currently pursuing a master’s degree or PhD.
- Professional experience: 0 to 6 years.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, including producing clean tables, charts, and well-structured presentations.
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft clear summaries and edit materials for clarity.
- Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Interest in outcomes measurement, monitoring and evaluation, learning and capacity building, and jobs-related development topics is an advantage.
