Welcome to Global Roles
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Global Roles (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Global Roles. By using our Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
2. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- We use email-based OTP authentication for secure login
- One account per person; duplicate accounts may be terminated
3. Acceptable Use
You May:
- Create and maintain an accurate professional profile
- Search for job opportunities matching your skills
- Use career analysis tools (Where I Stand, AI Matching)
- Connect with other professionals through our messaging system
- Share your public profile link
You May Not:
- Provide false or misleading information in your profile
- Use the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Use automated bots or scripts without permission
- Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited commercial content
- Impersonate another person or entity
4. User Content
- You retain ownership of content you post (profile information, messages, etc.)
- You grant us a license to display, store, and process your content to provide our services
- You are responsible for ensuring you have rights to content you upload
- We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law
5. Subscriptions & Payments
- Free Tier: Basic access to job search features
- Pro/Pro+ Tiers: Premium features including advanced analytics and unlimited job matching
- Payments are processed through Razorpay
- Subscription renewals occur automatically unless cancelled
- Refunds are handled according to our refund policy
- Prices may change with notice to existing subscribers
6. Privacy & Data
Your privacy is important to us. Our use and collection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
7. Profile Visibility & Discoverability
- Private: Your profile is only visible to you (default)
- Discoverable (Public): Peers and recruiters can find your profile and reach out through our messaging system
- When discoverable, your digital badge/card can be shared publicly
- Your contact information (email, phone) is never displayed publicly — others can only reach you through in-app messaging
- You control your visibility settings and can change them at any time in Account Settings
Profile Access Levels
We provide different access levels for peers and recruiters:
- Peers (Fellow Job Seekers): Can see basic profile information. To view full details (work experience descriptions, highlights), they must request access which you can approve or deny.
- Recruiters: Verified recruiters can view your full profile without requesting access, enabling them to discover and reach out to you about job opportunities efficiently.
8. Intellectual Property
The Global Roles platform, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform or content without permission.
9. Disclaimers
- The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee job placement or employment outcomes
- Job listings are provided by third parties; we are not responsible for their accuracy
- AI-powered features (matching, analysis) are tools to assist, not guaranteed predictions
- We do not endorse any employer or job opportunity listed on the Platform
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Global Roles shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
11. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time through your privacy settings
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
- Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy
- Sections that should survive termination (e.g., liability, disputes) will remain in effect
12. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved, disputes will be settled through arbitration in accordance with applicable law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Users in specific jurisdictions (EU, California, India) may have additional rights under local law.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
