See your match score & applyThe WBG Pioneers Internship Program offers undergraduate and postgraduate students a high impact learning experience within Global Corporate Solutions at the World Bank Group. Interns gain hands-on experience supporting corporate services, technical expertise, and operational solutions across various functional areas including corporate real estate and business services.
Responsibilities
- Shadow technical specialists to observe day-to-day operations, workflows, and decision-making processes.
- Support ongoing projects, initiatives, and deliverables across assigned teams.
- Conduct background research, data collection, and analysis to inform technical and operational work.
- Assist with the preparation of briefing materials, presentations, dashboards, or analytical outputs.
- Support process improvement efforts, documentation, and coordination activities as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, knowledge sessions, and relevant discussions to gain exposure to GCS workstreams.
Requirements
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in, or in the final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate (master’s/PhD) program.
- Candidates must have 0–6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Academic background must align with the requirements outlined in the job description.
- Demonstrated interest in development work and the World Bank Group’s mission.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in diverse, team-based environments.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages may be required depending on the role.
- No-Fee Internship Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in a Master's, PhD, or similar graduate program during the entire internship or provide an official letter from their university confirming the internship fulfills academic requirements for at least one term of study, or be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies and receive a stipend from their university at least equivalent to the minimum STT T1 fee level.
