Campaign Consultant – Advocacy on Women's Meaningful Participation in Peace Processes

The consultant will design and provide technical support to an advocacy campaign promoting women's meaningful participation in peace talks. The campaign aims to create civic space for women-led organizations to influence peace discourse, counter hate speech, and advocate for inclusive peace processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the design of a three-day workshop to engage women-led organizations on campaign planning
• Consolidate the campaign design proposal based on workshop results
• Ensure consistency of advocacy messaging to counter hate speech and marginalization narratives
• Conduct desk review and context analysis related to women's participation in peace processes
• Prepare schedule and training materials for the workshop
• Brief UN Women Programme Associate and Media Officer on workshop content
• Advise on measurement approaches for campaign impact
• Coordinate media components with UN Women Media Officer
• Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies
• Ensure knowledge sharing among women-led organizations
• Prepare a comprehensive Campaign Plan to guide implementation
• Propose adaptable approaches to address challenges during campaign implementation

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in Communications, Advocacy, Gender Studies, Peacebuilding, Political Science, or a related field
• Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in advocacy campaign design and coordination, preferably in fragile or conflict-affected contexts
• Demonstrated experience working with women's organizations and civil society actors
• Proven facilitation, coordination, and consensus-building skills
• Strong understanding of the Women, Peace and Security agenda
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
• Fluency in English required
• Knowledge of Arabic required
