The Early Careers Programme participant will support the Forum's industry transformation agenda in China through research, thought leadership development, stakeholder engagement, programme management and event delivery. The role advances China's contribution to global industry transformation and the Forum's mission of improving the state of the world through public-private cooperation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy and industry research, landscape analyses, and strategic insights to support priority initiatives across advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, the bioeconomy, industrial transformation, and supply chains, informing reports, presentations, and executive briefing materials.
  • Support the development of thought leadership for flagship initiatives, including GLN, MINDS, AI Transformation of Industries, AI Impact, AI Energy, BioBASED, and TIC, by producing case studies, blog posts, presentations, briefing notes, and executive communications.
  • Support stakeholder and community engagement by mapping ecosystems, coordinating outreach, maintaining relationships with industry, government, academia, and partners, and facilitating cross-sector interactions and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate project planning and delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring effective tracking of milestones, documentation, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Assist in the design and execution of executive meetings, workshops, public-private dialogues, and Forum events, including agenda development, logistics, participant coordination, and on-site execution.
  • Contribute to communications and knowledge dissemination through drafting blogs, social media content, meeting summaries, and other materials that showcase the impact of the Forum's industry transformation initiatives in China.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher (completed or in progress). Preferred academic background and/or professional experience in technology, digital technologies, engineering, public policy, business, or related fields, with a demonstrated interest in innovation and industrial transformation.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, high-quality written outputs, presentations, and insights.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese, with experience preparing professional reports, presentations, and communications materials.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and adaptable team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, strong attention to detail, and enthusiasm for working in a global, multi-stakeholder environment.
