The Senior Associate Construction Management Engineer will support the strengthening of management of educational infrastructure projects for indigenous and quilombola communities in Brazil. The role involves technical assistance, project monitoring, and ensuring the execution of construction works under the Coordinated Action Plan (PAR) to improve educational infrastructure and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to strengthen the management of the Coordinated Action Plan (PAR) for educational infrastructure projects.
  • Support the diagnosis of PAR processes and risk assessment mechanisms to improve project negotiation and execution.
  • Monitor and support the execution of construction works in indigenous and quilombola communities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, environment and social development (HSSE) standards in project implementation.
  • Coordinate with federal, state, and municipal teams to enhance technical and operational capacity for project management.
  • Participate in meetings and provide reports on project progress and challenges.
  • Travel to project sites as required to oversee and support construction activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management or related engineering roles.
  • Experience working with infrastructure projects, preferably in educational or public sector contexts.
  • Ability to work remotely with own computer, software, and internet connection.
  • Availability to travel to indigenous and quilombola communities, including remote and difficult access locations.
  • Experience in project monitoring, risk assessment, and technical assistance.
  • Good communication skills and ability to participate in meetings during business hours.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, security, environment and social development (HSSE) principles related to construction projects is desirable.
  • Experience working in Brazil or Latin America is an asset.
