The Communications Intern will support communication activities focused on image editing, card creation, and design for the UNILA Campus Arandu construction project. The role involves assisting in the preparation of progress reports, creating digital materials, managing social media content, and supporting event coordination under the supervision of the Senior Communication Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in communication processes of the Project.
  • Assist in creating banners and digital pieces for web in various formats and media (social media cards, presentations, infographics, brochures, folders, etc.).
  • Support the application of UNOPS visual identity in communication materials.
  • Assist in planning, creating, and managing strategic content for social media aligned with project objectives.
  • Support writing, reviewing, and editing texts and images (videos and photos) for posts, stories, newsletters, and other digital materials.
  • Assist in updating and managing project folders with organization of tools and resources such as image banks, digital assets, contact lists, and databases (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
  • Participate in the Regional Communication and Outreach Network.
  • Support digital coverage of project events and actions, including real-time activities and post-event material production.
  • Assist in other activities such as analyzing social media metrics and results, news clipping about the project in the press, and operationalizing contact channels.
  • Support organization and coordination of events.
  • Perform any other communication support functions assigned by direct supervision.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be enrolled in Communication Social, Advertising and Propaganda, Graphic Design, Audiovisual Production or related fields from the 5th semester or up to 3 years after graduation.
  • Previous experience in creating social media content and/or text production (press or press advisory) is considered an advantage.
  • Experience in public entities and/or government agencies is valued.
  • Experience in social communication with communities, popular communication, or communication for development is valued.
  • Fluent Portuguese is required.
  • Basic Spanish is required.
  • Intermediate English is desirable.
