National Nutrition Consultant

The consultant will provide technical support to the AAP Secretariat to guide, implement, monitor and support multisectoral nutrition activities as planned in the Multiyear Work plan (MYWP)-2025 to 2026, focusing on maternal and child nutrition, ECD, adolescents’ nutrition, school health and nutrition, and PF4N.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to AAP Secretariat to guide, implement, monitor and support multisectoral nutrition activities as planned in the Multiyear Work plan (MYWP)-2025 to 2026.
• Support multisectoral coordination at provincial and divisional level focusing on maternal and child nutrition, ECD, adolescents’ nutrition, school health and nutrition, and PF4N.
• Contribute to improving capacity, governance, financing and enabling environment of Health, Food, Education, WASH and Social Protection systems and institutions at provincial levels to deliver nutritious diet essential services and positive practices for children, adolescents and women.

Requirements

• A bachelors or masters degree in one of the following fields is required: Public Health, Nutrition, Health Science, Epidemiology, Child Development, or relevant science fields.
• Masters 2 years, Bachelors 5 years of professional experience in a developing country in one or more of the following areas: Nutrition, Child Development, Public Health, Nutrition & Child Development Planning, and Management.
• Experience in nutrition/public health programme/early child development project development and management in a UN system agency or organization is an asset.
• Language requirements: English, Urdu, Sindhi and other regional languages.
