International consultant for AI solutions for education data management

The consultant will support the design, development, pilot, and deployment of AI-enabled digital solutions for education data management under the supervision of the Chief of Education. The role involves technical review, capacity building, and integration of AI solutions to enhance education sector monitoring and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Inception and design of AI solutions for education data management.
• Development and integration of AI-enabled digital tools.
• Pilot testing and refinement of AI solutions.
• Technical review of DHIS2 and building national capacity.
• Supporting digital sector plans and performance monitoring.
• Deployment and handover of AI solutions to national stakeholders.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in computer science, data science, data analytics, statistics or other relevant fields
• Ten years of experience in supporting digital systems, data systems and software development, including review and development of system architecture, configurations, integrations, source code and technical documentation, for national data systems.
• Five years of experience in developing and implementing AI-enabled digital solutions.
• Five years of experience in data analysis, visualization and development of user-friendly digital tools.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting education sector management through creation of digitalized monitoring and evaluation tools.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Strong practical expertise in EMIS implementation, configuration, system administration and technical support, especially in DHIS2 systems and platforms.
• Experience in working for UNICEF or international organizations (desirable)
