The Administrative Associate (People and Culture) provides administrative management support services to ensure efficient and cost-effective administrative support, guiding administrative staff and supporting office administrative assignments. The role ensures compliance with UNICEF administrative policies and procedures and supports specialized people and culture functions.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate interpretation and implementation of administrative policies and procedures.
  • Budget management.
  • Administrative support services, security and safety.
  • Procurement.
  • Asset and Property management.
  • Administrative transactions and contractual arrangements.
  • Staff learning and development.
  • Partnership, coordination and collaboration.
  • Supervises drivers.
  • Performs any other duties and responsibilities assigned as required.

Requirements

  • Secondary Education in any related fields is required.
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience in Administration, Facilities Management, Human Resources, Supply Management, Transportation and any other related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Project Management, Asset Management, HR Systems, Policy Implementation, and Staff Development, ensuring efficient operations and continuous organizational improvement is required.
  • Strong project management, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence in using digital tools and adapting to new technologies.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Demonstrated UN experience and hands-on expertise in Vision, Agora, and talent management systems are considered a strong asset.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
