The consultant will document and analyze digital determinants of adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and curate promising digital comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) models in the Asia-Pacific region. The consultancy involves conducting a landscape analysis, mapping digital ecosystems, and producing reports to support adolescent health and well-being in digital spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a landscape analysis of promising digital CSE models with potential for adaptation and scaling in the Asia Pacific region
  • Map factors and digital determinants for adolescent SRHR in the region
  • Identify common pathways through which digital ecosystems impact adolescent knowledge, attitudes, norms, practices and online safety
  • Develop a conceptual framework mapping digital ecosystem factors affecting adolescent SRHR
  • Perform a state of evidence and scoping review of digital ASRHR and CSE models focusing on Asia Pacific countries
  • Document promising digital CSE models that are youth-led, scalable, and sustainable
  • Identify pathways facilitating CSE-ASRH linkages, including digital to offline SRH services
  • Conduct desk reviews, regional consultations, and validation of models addressing digital determinants including algorithmic biases and online peer norms
  • Consider the impact of generative AI and digital literacy needs for youth SRHR
  • Deliver inception report, draft conceptual framework and landscape analysis, main report, and insight briefs according to timeline

Requirements

  • Master’s level in Public Health, Social Sciences, Psychology, or other interdisciplinary disciplines with technology
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the intersection of adolescent and youth health and well-being, technology and AI
  • Experience with youth SRHR and the intersection with online safety and mental health is an asset
  • Regional experience in Asia-Pacific is strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in conducting scoping review and qualitative key informative interviews
  • Demonstrated experience in evidence synthesis and knowledge translation for policy and programme audiences
  • Demonstrated experience working with youth and youth-led entities, especially online communities and digital platforms
  • Prior experience with fostering communities of practice and digital content creation a plus
  • Excellent written and oral skills in English
