See your match score & applyThe consultant will support coordination, implementation, monitoring and follow-up of UN Women's contribution to the National Governance Program for Public Boards and Leadership (NGP) in Lebanon. The role involves facilitating communication between UN Women, OMSAR, and other stakeholders, monitoring progress, supporting programme activities, and ensuring integration of gender equality and inclusive governance principles.
Responsibilities
- Support coordination efforts between UN Women, OMSAR, technical experts and relevant stakeholders including follow-up on progress, timelines, agreed actions and emerging priorities.
- Support the planning, organization and follow-up of programme activities, including consultations, validation meetings and executive learning sessions, ensuring timely communication among stakeholders.
- Contribute to monitoring the overall implementation against agreed milestones, identify coordination or operational challenges, support their timely resolution, and maintain relevant programme documentation and tracking tools.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations and other programme-related documentation as requested by UN Women and OMSAR.
- Prepare periodic progress updates and a final report summarizing implementation progress, achievements, challenges, lessons learned and recommendations for the continued implementation and institutionalization of the NGP.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Governance, Business Administration, Law, Political Science, or another relevant field is required.
- A secondary education combined with two additional years of qualifying relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in programme coordination, project support, public administration, governance, institutional development, training programmes, or a related field is required.
- Experience coordinating activities among multiple stakeholders is required.
- Experience preparing reports, tracking implementation progress and maintaining programme documentation is required.
- Experience in gender equality and inclusive governance is desirable.
- Experience supporting governance, capacity development or public sector reform initiatives is desirable.
- Experience working with Lebanon’s government institutions or UN agencies is desirable.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
- Knowledge of French or any other UN official language is desirable.
