National Consultant for My Journey Mobile App Update

The National Consultant will provide technical support for the update, testing, maintenance, and deployment of the My Journey Mobile App, a mobile application for Cambodian women migrant workers providing reliable information on safe migration, labour rights, and essential services. The consultant will incorporate approved content updates, ensure technical functionality, and support the app's relaunch and ongoing monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Update application branding and digital store content as required under PROTECT.
• Review and consolidate the application’s existing content for UN Women’s review and incorporate approved content into the application.
• Incorporate UN Women-approved updates to service information, content, and multimedia resources into the application.
• Verify and improve the application’s functionality by testing and validating phone numbers, hyperlinks, and interactive features.
• Develop and implement approved enhancements.
• Conduct testing, quality assurance, and deployment.
• Review and address App compliance with Google Play Store and other technical requirements.
• Establish and configure a privacy-sensitive analytics framework to track application uptake and usage ensuring compliance with privacy and safeguarding requirements.
• Develop and implement a user experience feedback and testing approach including collection and analysis of user feedback.
• Prepare a concise report summarizing user experience findings, uptake and usage data, challenges, and recommendations.
• Develop and hand over a sustainable system for ongoing monitoring of application uptake, usage, and user experience including training for UN Women personnel.

Requirements

• Master's Degree with 2 years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and substantive guidance provided by UN Women and to accurately incorporate approved content into digital applications.
• Capacity to liaise with a range of stakeholders to build rapport and effective working relationships, exchange information, and support collaborative action.
• Demonstrated ability to work sensitively and appropriately with content relating to gender equality, women’s rights and vulnerable populations.
• Demonstrated sensitivity, discretion, tact and courtesy in working with implementing partners and national and international personnel of diverse backgrounds.
• Familiarity with gender equality, labour migration or related development programming would be an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a cross-cultural context.
• Awareness of gender equality, women’s rights and safeguarding considerations in the development of digital products.
