The ICT Specialist provides Information and Communication Technology support services to the UN Women Indonesia Country Office, ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of ICT infrastructure and equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, network management, software and hardware maintenance, and asset management to support the office's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general ICT support to the Country Office in compliance with UN Women rules, regulations, policies, and procedure
  • Ensure all the UN Women Indonesia’s servers are connected to UN Women’s remote and local network and the service is ready to use
  • Ensure all the UN Women Indonesia Office’s servers, network and all other equipment are in good condition
  • Ensure the internet connectivity is up and ready for UN Women users access to internet
  • Monitor UN Women computer/laptop or server on antivirus log and remove viruses or malware if found
  • Ensure network printers are accessible from the workstations
  • Ensure effective operation of office cloud storage, including but not limited to the office’s corporate one-drive, and regularly back up cloud data on backup media
  • Coordinate with ICT team in Headquarters and/or Regional Office in handling cases and updates related to ICT
  • Support the team in providing the specification for the procurement of ICT equipment
  • Deliver technical support for the setup of IT equipment at events organized by the Indonesia Country Office, as needed
  • Provide technical assistance in troubleshooting software and hardware issues, including system installation and configuration
  • Provide on-site software and hardware (including IP Phone and printers) troubles-shooting, existing software upgrade and new software installation when required
  • Provide support in installing and/or re-installing software in case of broken-down and install licensed software
  • Scan/clean on monthly basis or by request
  • Restore the server operating system and configuration, restore data from backup tape, in case of emergency
  • Regularly monitor the software and hardware of network system in working order (including servers, networks, and workstation), and solve the problem for any emergency condition
  • Provide technical assistance in maintaining overall software, hardware equipment and supplies
  • Effective functioning (installation, operation and maintenance) of all UNWOMEN hardware equipment and acquisition of hardware supplies
  • Performance of specific technical functions, including identifying which of hardware electronic components (disks, memories, network wiring, power sources, etc.) that may cause a problem and liaise with UNWOMEN vendor for parts replacement (if any)
  • Installation of commercial and in-house developed software and related upgrades, anti-virus programs on a timely basis
  • Update patch files for the Server, Computer, laptop, printer, network equipment and all other relevant equipment
  • Install the new Windows image, configure the BitLocker, and join Azure AD
  • Configuration of MS Office 365, and OneDrive for Business
  • Regular check on UN Women’s system including network, hardware, software, back-up, anti-virus upgrade once a month
  • Provide a proactive approach to protect the network from risks such as unauthorized access of the network or sensitive data and information
  • Provide information on IT inventory to the UN Women personnel to enable them to perform better systems planning and decision-making
  • Liaise with ICT HQ for the use of office Firewall (replacement or new one)
  • Provide support to the Country Office as an Asset Focal Point
  • Conduct periodic verification of organizational assets to ensure accuracy and completeness of asset records in accordance with established inventory management procedures
  • Coordinate with the Administrative Assistant to facilitate the end-to-end asset disposal process, including retrieval of relevant asset data from the Quantum system, preparation of required disposal documentation and forms, and submission of finalized data into the system in compliance with applicable disposal policies
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all organizational assets and monitor their physical condition on an ongoing basis
  • Report identified cases of asset damage or malfunction (e.g., laptops and other equipment) to the relevant authority and coordinate to the authorized service dealers or maintenance providers for appropriate action
  • Perform other duties within their functional profile as deemed necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and the Organization

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education required
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Sciences, Engineering or any other related fields is an asset
  • At least 7 years of progressively responsible work experience as ICT Support is required
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, networking, hardware and software maintenance is required
  • Experience in providing ICT support services for multi-national organizations or international organizations is an asset
  • Experience in providing ICT support in UN agencies and familiarity with UN system are highly desirable
  • Experience working independently as the sole IT focal point in Country Office/department with minimal supervision and working with different stakeholder is an asset
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
