Técnico/a de Proyecto - Jalapa

The position is responsible for implementing programmatic offerings in prioritized communities, both in development and humanitarian response, either directly or through local partners. It promotes Child-Centered Community Development with a rights-based approach, ensuring active participation of families, children, and adolescents, and adherence to program quality policies, monitoring frameworks, and inclusion principles.

Responsibilities

• Implement programmatic follow-up and actions in prioritized communities of the Generación Saludable Project according to project planning.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in project management in social areas.
• Experience in processes of preventing early pregnancies, forced unions, and involuntary pregnancies.
• Experience working with youth leaders and rights activists.
• Experience working and coordinating with state institutions MINEDUC, MSPAS.
• Experience in handling cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Sexual Violence (SV).
• Previous experience working with community actors, parents, and mothers.
• Experience in partner management and coordination.
• Desirable experience working in Baja Verapaz and Jalapa regions.
• Driving skills and valid license for 4x4 vehicles (mandatory).
• Studies in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Psychology, Social Work or related fields, with a Bachelor's degree or postgraduate preferred.
• Studies or experience in gender and development; desirable knowledge in development, leadership, and comprehensive health.
• Knowledge of human rights, with emphasis on children's rights.
• Ability to organize groups and use interactive techniques and tools to promote active participation in youth and adult groups.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, internet).
• Ability to drive four-wheel vehicles, possess a valid license, and willingness to undergo driving tests prior to certification.
• Punctuality in submitting vehicle use reports, incidents, and preventive maintenance management to program support area.
• Verbal and written communication skills to generate quality reports.
• Social and human sensitivity.
• Respect for diversity (cultural, ethnic, gender, among others).
• Willingness to work 80% fieldwork and 20% office work.
• Commitment to Plan International's code of conduct and policies on Gender, Inclusion, and Child Safeguarding.
• Commitment to zero tolerance for child abuse and discrimination.
• Compliance with Plan International's selection process focused on Child Protection Policy, Human Rights, Gender Equity, and Multiculturalism.
• Submission of clearance from the National Registry of Sexual Offenders of the Public Ministry is required.
• Position subject to funding approval, with a contract duration of 2 to 3 years.
