The Project Officer will support youth-led and community-driven climate action initiatives in urban and coastal communities, working with communities, youth groups, and local partners to plan and deliver project activities, facilitate discussions and capacity-building, and document project progress.

Responsibilities

  • Work with communities, youth groups, and local partners to plan and deliver project activities
  • Facilitate community discussions, workshops, and capacity-building sessions
  • Gather community data and help track project results and progress
  • Prepare and monitor project requests, payments, and required documents
  • Document project activities, stories, and lessons learned

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in social work, community development, behavioral sciences, DRRM, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience working with communities, youth, or development projects
  • Experience facilitating community activities, trainings, or group discussions
  • Good organization and documentation skills
  • Passion for climate action, community development, and working with young people
  • An advantage if you have training or experience in community organizing
  • An advantage if you have training or experience in project management
  • An advantage if you have training or experience in climate change adaptation or disaster resilience
