See your match score & applyThe Project Officer will support the implementation of the ECHO-funded ACCESS 3 Project, leading rapid emergency response activities during disasters and conflict-related crises, conducting needs assessments, coordinating with partners, and supporting preparedness and project implementation in affected communities in the Philippines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate rapid emergency response activities during disasters and conflict-related crises.
- Conduct rapid needs assessments and support response planning for affected communities.
- Work closely with consortium partners, government agencies, LGUs, BARMM ministries, and humanitarian actors.
- Monitor response activities and help ensure quality, timely, and accountable delivery of assistance.
- Prepare situation reports, project updates, and donor reports.
- Support project implementation, monitoring, documentation, and operational coordination.
- Strengthen emergency preparedness through contingency planning, simulations, and readiness activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, DRRM, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in humanitarian response, emergency preparedness, DRRM, or humanitarian project management.
- Experience conducting rapid needs assessments and supporting emergency response operations.
- Strong coordination experience with government agencies, NGOs, and humanitarian partners.
- Experience working in disaster-affected and/or conflict-affected communities.
- Knowledge of humanitarian standards, safeguarding, protection, gender equality, and accountability principles.
- Experience with donor-funded or consortium projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Mindanao and BARMM context is highly desirable.
