The Project Assistant NLNO will monitor and follow up on project implementation at the PU level in Assiut, ensuring quality deliverables aligned with the Country Strategy. The role involves coordinating with partners and stakeholders, supporting project events and reporting, and ensuring compliance with Plan International policies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and follow up on project implementation and support the timely delivery of project activities against agreed workplans.
  • Facilitate the development and updating of project implementation plans and ensure effective coordination, teamwork, and follow-up with partners and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular partner and staff coordination meetings and follow up on action points to ensure effective implementation of project activities according to agreed timelines.
  • Support the organization and coordination of project events, trainings, workshops, meetings, and field visits, including the required logistical and administrative arrangements.
  • Ensure that Plan Egypt’s relevant policies on Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI), Safeguarding, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Security Management are integrated into project planning and implementation.
  • Ensure quality and timely implementation of project activities with government stakeholders, partners, and community actors, while maintaining effective communication and coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and process Purchase Requests (PRs) and Orders (POs) in SAP, follow up on procurement and payment processes, and support budget monitoring in coordination with Finance to ensure compliance with approved budgets and donor requirements.
  • Support project monitoring, reporting, and documentation processes, including data collection, maintenance of project records, preparation of reports and meeting minutes, and documentation of achievements, lessons learned, and beneficiary data in coordination with the MERL team.
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Child Protection (CPP) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI) are fully embedded per the principles and requirements of the policy including relevant Implementation Standards and Guidelines as applicable to their area of responsibility.

Requirements

  • A bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or similar field.
  • 3-5 years of experience with a proven record of success at a similar level preferably in an INGO sector.
  • Proven experiences and ability to coordinate and collaborate with different civil society and Community based organization.
  • Advanced understanding of the development needs and their vulnerability of our Primary Impact Groups from birth to adulthood, the root causes of the issues affecting them, and the key actors most relevant to their interests and therefore to our work.
  • Knowledge on gender transformative approaches, working in partnership, evidence-based approaches, and working to strengthen civil society.
  • Providing clear direction and support to team members.
  • Using on-going monitoring and assessment, working closely with project teams to improve the quality of implementation.
  • Interpreting and contextualising data, assesses results and draws conclusions to inform initiatives and clearly communicating the results of evaluation and lessons learned as appropriate.
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels.
