The Learning and Development Designer will lead the design of FATF's expanding portfolio of e-Learning and other training materials to improve understanding of anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing measures globally. The role involves pedagogical design, content creation, quality assurance, and collaboration with international partners.

Responsibilities

  • Apply learning theory to structure new e-Learning products and other training materials so that they are engaging and stimulating, in close coordination with policy experts from different parts of the FATF Secretariat and from member countries.
  • Make use of the latest design tools to create training materials that are visually appealing and tie into broader FATF design themes, employing a variety of formats (videos/quizzes/storyboards).
  • Develop assessment mechanisms and analyse the data produced to draw insights from user experience, informing updates to training material.
  • Maintain close working relationships with peers at the OECD and other relevant International Organisations (UNODC, IMF, World Bank, Egmont Group), coordinating and exchanging on best practices to support production of high-quality training material and learning experiences.
  • Contribute to graphic design work for wider FATF publications and external communications materials on an ad hoc basis.

Requirements

  • A university degree or equivalent in e-learning, instructional design, instructional theory, education technology, adult education, multimedia design or another relevant discipline.
  • At least three years experience, and preferably a minimum of five years experience, as an e-learning developer.
  • Experience in lesson/curriculum planning and the creation of storyboards, and knowledge and application of Agile and ADDIE models in the design of educational materials.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and delivering learning solutions using methods such as game based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements.
  • Experience in developing complex interactions (i.e. using variables), learning activities and animations.
  • Proficiency with industry standard design software (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite and Articulate 360) and use of AI in the process of designing learning materials.
  • Experience in managing projects with different groups of stakeholders with different backgrounds, including content matter experts with limited knowledge of pedagogical engineering.
  • Experience in working as part of a multicultural team or international organisation.
  • Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
  • Knowledge of other languages (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish) would be an advantage.
