See your match score & applyThe Programme Manager will lead the integration of IDMC and JIPS, ensuring excellence in programme delivery, quality, and continuous improvement. The role involves strategic planning, programme management, quality assurance, external coordination, business development, and people management.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to strategy development and support its implementation.
- Coordinate the development of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) framework & tools linked to the strategy.
- Review, develop, and maintain programme standards and tools for quality project & programme implementation.
- Ensure application of quality standards in project implementation through systems, tools, team capacity support and quality control.
- Develop project specific MEAL plans aligned with strategic MEAL framework.
- Oversee implementation of MEAL processes and tools including post-activity and project learning.
- Incorporate latest learning and best practices into standards, tools and capacity building.
- Ensure projects comply with donor requirements, regulations and NRC policies including reporting and visibility guidelines.
- Ensure adherence to Project Cycle Management Guidelines including programme work plans, stakeholder engagement, HR, procurement, MEAL and budget plans.
- Oversee budget monitoring and follow up.
- Work closely with procurement for contract management of third-party suppliers.
- Liaise with third party vendors to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
- Contribute to identification and development of new partnerships and represent IDMC-JIPS in stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain stakeholder engagement tracking and facilitate prioritisation.
- Identify opportunities for growth, funding, partnerships and collaborations.
- Liaise with donors for project updates and business development.
- Oversee development and submission of concept notes and proposals to donors.
- Support team capacity development linked to project management.
- Contribute to programme HR plans, job descriptions and support recruitment and onboarding.
- Ensure staff clarity on roles and accountabilities using NRC people management tools.
- Ensure adherence to donor regulations, NRC policies, Code of Conduct and PSEA standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Social Sciences, Humanitarian/Development studies, Information Management, Management or a related field; a first-level university degree with sufficient additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in French, Spanish or Arabic is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years’ professional work experience within international humanitarian/development sector.
- At least 8 years' prior experience in a project/programme management or coordination role.
- Skills and experience in project/program planning, delivery, monitoring, reporting, review and evaluation.
- Skills in fundraising, budget management and donor reporting/accountability/compliance.
- Ability to produce timely project proposals and high-quality reports.
- Extensive experience in representation and networking.
- Excellent analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective working relations with colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Strong experience coaching teams.
- Excellent negotiation, advocacy and communication skills.
- Willingness to continually learn and enhance standards and tools accordingly.
