Finance Technical Assistant Niger Tillaberi

The Finance Technical Assistant supports the daily implementation of finance support functions in NRC's Tillaberi mission. The role involves ensuring compliance with NRC policies, managing financial documentation, preparing transactions and reports, and assisting with monthly financial closure.

Responsibilities

• Work in compliance with NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines.
• Assist in implementing support functions according to the action plan.
• Prepare progress reports on support activities as requested by supervisors or management.
• Ensure proper archiving of documents.
• Encourage and propose improvements for support functions.
• Manage petty cash expenses.
• Prepare bank transactions.
• Prepare expense reports.
• Ensure accounting documents comply with NRC procedures.
• Verify supporting documents for cash inflows and outflows.
• Prepare bank, cash, and miscellaneous journal postbacks and send for posting.
• Follow up on staff advances and liquidations.
• Prepare vouchers for disbursement and receipt.
• Archive financial documents including scanning and electronic filing on Office 365.
• Make payments to suppliers and beneficiaries.
• Assist with monthly financial closure.
• Ensure authorized signatories according to delegation of authority table.
• Perform other relevant tasks related to the function.

Requirements

• Minimum BAC+3 (Bachelor's Degree) in accounting, audit, financial management, or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• Good knowledge of computer tools (Excel, Word), Internet and other software.
• Fluency in French, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of English is an asset.
• Good mastery of current labor legislation.
