Principal Solution Engineer - AirC2 System Products

The Principal Solution Engineer will join the AirC2 System Products Service area to support the development, deployment, maintenance, and support of NATO’s integrated air command and control systems. The role involves solution architecture, requirements management, systems development management, network design, sourcing, and technical contract management to ensure the operational effectiveness of NATO’s air defense missions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers in the development and maintenance of AirC2 system products.
• Define and manage requirements for integrated air command and control systems.
• Oversee solution architecture and systems development management.
• Design network infrastructure to support NATO air defense operations.
• Manage sourcing and technical contracts related to AirC2 system products.
• Ensure lifecycle support including incident management, exercise support, data management, training, and sensor tuning.

Requirements

• A minimum requirement of a Master’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 5 years post-related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years post related experience.
• Proven experience in the leadership and management of a team of engineers.
• Recent practical experience in managing system/software engineering activities on large mission critical software intensive systems.
• Knowledge of system/software architectures, operating systems, deployment infrastructure and network concepts.
• Knowledge of system/software engineering related methods, techniques, metrics and tools.
• Knowledge of system/software development, maintenance, integration and deployment concepts.
• Knowledge of database management systems and data management concepts.
