The Temporary Child Survival Programme Officer is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of Health and Nutrition activities under the Damal Caafimaad project in Galmudug, Somalia. The role involves planning and coordinating sector activities related to Nutrition, Health, and WASH, and working closely with line ministries to ensure effective coordination and delivery of high-quality services.
Responsibilities
- Implement Health and Nutrition activities under the Damal Caafimaad project in Galmudug
- Plan and coordinate all sector activities related to Nutrition, Health, and WASH
- Work closely with relevant line ministries to ensure effective coordination and information sharing
- Ensure smooth implementation and delivery of high-quality services
- Provide regular progress reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to the line manager
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in health science (Nurse/Midwife/Public Health, Community Health/Nutrition/medicine/pharmaceutical)
- Minimum 2 years of Experience with an international NGO/UN/ Local NGO & Government in implementing and coordinating humanitarian/development program activities including, health, nutrition and WASH
- Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building skills
- Experience in community mobilization/CMAM/IYCF/EPI/IMCI/ BeMONC//GBV/PHAST/CHAST/CLTS
- Basic knowledge of project planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Good understanding in local language and culture practises
- Basic understanding of child right frameworks
