The priority of this position will be to contact new health care providers to build partnerships and create a service map that caters to the health and wellness of IRC clients. The student/Intern will lead 3 different workshops held for clients as well as documenting services, attendance, and increased knowledge. The student/Intern may be expected to provide transportation for clients via IRC vehicles as well as provide bus training to clients if needed.

Requirements

  • Currently a BSW or MSW student at an accredited university, a student who has some foundational coursework for generalist social work, health, or wellness.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage respectfully with diverse populations.
  • Comfort with public speaking as group facilitation will be weekly or willingness to develop these skills.
  • Competence in time management, organizational tasks, and ability to follow through on assigned responsibilities.
  • Students must have access to transportation.
