Fall 2026 Preferred Communities Intern - UNPAID

The Preferred Communities Intern will assist the casework team in supporting refugee and ORR-eligible populations with challenging needs. This unpaid internship involves document management, data entry, client support, and collaboration with caseworkers and community providers.

Responsibilities

• Help with document management, including scanning and filing documents
• Complete data entry and note taking tasks
• Assist clients with developing their problem-solving skills, empowering them to handle situations independently and supporting their self-sufficiency
• Accompany caseworkers to appointments and support them with service delivery
• Adhere to all IRC work ethics while serving clients
• Collaborate effectively with caseworkers staff and external community providers partnered with the program
• Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and special staff development programs
