Under the supervision and guidance of the WASH Specialist, the Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes. The role involves substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education is required.
  • A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience.
  • A Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) may replace an additional two years.
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience in Administration, Programme, Program management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Implementing partner management, Clerical work or any other related field.
  • Knowledge in Budget monitoring, analytical skills, MS office skills, Organizational management, Data management, Project management skills are required.
  • Proficiency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or the local language, Pijin is an asset.
  • Experience in Programme support and in a UN system agency or organization are assets.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
