Education Programme Assistant Intern

The intern will support the Education Section by collecting and consolidating data, managing information for the Education Cluster, and assisting with reporting and analysis related to education in emergency situations. This internship provides practical experience and exposure to the functioning of an international organization.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the collection and consolidation of data for the Education Section and manage information for the Education Cluster.
• Establish and maintain a database of schools under the Education Section and ensure it is updated.
• Monitor the completion and updating of the indicator tracking tool.
• Collect, consolidate, clean, and analyze data related to needs, interventions, and coverage gaps in education in emergency situations using Statchild.
• Develop, update, and disseminate cluster information products such as dashboards, fact sheets, tracking matrices, maps, and analytical presentations monthly or quarterly.
• Support partners in regular reporting and use of information management systems on Statchild.
• Contribute to inter-agency and inter-sector exercises including MSA, MNSA assessments, needs analyses, humanitarian response planning (HNRP), and sector indicator monitoring (RPM).

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within 2 years) with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in education sciences, monitoring and evaluation, or project management.
• Minimum age of 18 and maximum age of 35 at the time of application.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of English is an asset.
• Good computer skills including office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet use.
• Excellent academic results or strong academic/professional recommendation letters.
• No immediate family member working at UNICEF.
