The Project Officer will support the implementation of the Scaling Up Economic Empowerment and Systemic Integration project, focusing on coordination of capacity-building activities, partnerships, and community-based interventions to strengthen partner CBOs and enhance livelihood opportunities for vulnerable groups, especially girls and young women. The role involves close collaboration with Plan International Egypt teams, partner organizations, and local stakeholders, supporting training delivery, mentorship follow-up, and ensuring effective coordination and communication among partners.
Responsibilities
- Support and follow up on capacity‑building activities with partner CBOs.
- Conduct field visits to monitor progress, provide support, and identify challenges.
- Organize reflection sessions to gather feedback and document lessons learned.
- Coordinate with consultants and service providers for assessments and trainings.
- Support delivery of social entrepreneurship and livelihood programmes.
- Manage logistics and administration for project activities.
- Collect and analyze data and feedback to inform improvements.
- Contribute to monitoring and reporting, including inputs for donor communications.
- Ensure compliance with Plan International's Safeguarding and PII policies and Gender Equality and Inclusion standards.
- Take on additional assignments within the scope of work as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or similar field.
- 3-5 years of experience with a proven record of success at a similar level preferably in an INGO sector.
- Experience working with government entities, civil society organizations on livelihoods, economic empowerment, or community development projects.
- Experience in planning, conducting, and facilitating trainings/workshops.
- Strong understanding of the socio-economic and governance context in Egypt, particularly challenges faced by vulnerable and marginalized groups.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, and deliver participatory training and learning programmes.
- Proven skills in documentation, reporting, and analysis of lessons learned, good practices, and project outcomes.
