The Supply Associate performs highly skilled procurement and supply work in support of the Ebola emergency response, managing complex procurement and contracting cases and client requests that frequently require evaluation of difficult situations and adaptation of procedures. The incumbent leads end-to-end procurement processes and contributes to the design and development of improved supply services and delivery mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Secondary Education in supply chain management, procurement and any other related fields.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant administrative experience in supply chain management, procurement or a commercial context is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply UNICEF (or comparable) procurement rules, procedures and good practices to complex individual cases.
  • Experience using an ERP system (VISION/SAP supply modules) and MS Office tools.
  • Fluency in French is required.
  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, English, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is desirable.
  • Experience in public-health-emergency, emergency, outbreak, Ebola, UN are assets.
  • Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
