Individual Consultancy – Water Supply and WASH in Institutions (Zambezia Province)

The consultant will provide technical and operational support at field level for water supply and WASH in institutions interventions in Zambezia Province. The role includes technical assistance, implementation support, monitoring, coordination, and quality assurance of infrastructure components to improve WASH service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and field-level implementation support for water supply and WASH in institutions interventions in Zambezia Province.
• Strengthen quality assurance of infrastructure components related to WASH projects.
• Support partners and monitor WASH programme delivery and results.
• Coordinate activities to ensure alignment with programme priorities and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, water engineering, hydrogeology or related fields.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in WASH programmes in general.
• At least 3 years of experience in the construction or supervision of borehole drilling and water supply and institutional sanitation construction works.
• Proven experience in water supply and WASH in institutions projects.
• Fluent in Portuguese, spoken and written.
• Knowledge of the local language in the project area will be an advantage.
• Solid knowledge in solar water supply systems.
• Knowledge in Environmental Management is an advantage.
• Experience working with government and partners is desirable.
• Experience working in Zambezia province is an asset.
