The ICT Transition Manager supports the transition of ICT services from Host Nation provided services to NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) ICT services at HQ JSEC. The role involves project management, coordination with stakeholders, risk management, and quality assurance to ensure successful implementation of the native NATO CIS plan.
Responsibilities
- Support JSEC ICT transition from Host Nation provided services to NCIA ICT services.
- Provide advice to Branch Head CIS enablement.
- Scope and planning of ICT components based on JSEC operational requirements for the short and beginning mid-term phase of JSEC’s native NATO CIS implementation plan.
- Identify bottlenecks and mitigating threats in risk management.
- Coordinate ICT layout changes for staff moves during construction phases of legacy buildings.
- Coordinate with NCIA on technical requirements for infrastructure adaptations in legacy buildings.
- Manage and process ICT requests.
- Quality assurance for ICT adaptation of legacy buildings.
- Manage the retrograde of Host Nation ICT and services.
- Plan and coordinate the retrograde of Host Nation ICT in collaboration with JSEC management and Host Nation Germany.
- Liaison with Host Nation Germany with respect to ICT support including meetings with ICT stakeholders, Service Center BWI, and SHBA Ulm.
- Serve as JSEC J6 Project Manager for NCIA projects related to ICT transition.
- Act as ICT point of contact for JSEC native CIS implementation plan (short and mid-term).
- Point of contact for meetings with JSEC construction security office.
Requirements
- University Degree and 4 years post-related experience, or Higher Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post related and 2 years function related experience.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Understanding of system infrastructure, software development lifecycles and data security.
- Good English skills, SLP 3333 - (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing).
- German language skills preferred (SLP 2222 – limited working level).
- Possession of a valid NATO security clearance at the time of application or having been in possession of such a clearance with the possibility to reactivate it swiftly or already being in the process of obtaining a NATO security clearance that is expected to be granted shortly.
