The Education Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance for education programming focused on coordination and support of the Education Sector Working Group (ESWG). The role supports programme development, management, monitoring, delivery of results, technical and operational support, networking, partnership building, innovation, knowledge management and capacity building.

Requirements

• Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in education, psychology, sociology or another relevant technical field.
• 1 years of relevant work experience in education programme management, sector coordination, programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, results based management, partnership development, humanitarian coordination, data analysis, knowledge management, capacity building
• Fluency in English and Turkish - Proficient/Fluent
• Desirable: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish)
• Desirable: Developing-country experience, UN system experience, additional UN language, maternal health, neonatal health, humanitarian preparedness
• Desirable: Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
