The Project Assistant will monitor and coordinate project implementation with partners, ensuring plans, timelines, and indicators are met. They will facilitate meetings, produce reports, ensure compliance with policies, support stakeholders, manage budgets, supervise field activities, and foster collaboration for effective project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate project implementation with partners, ensuring plans, timelines, and indicators are met.
  • Facilitate planning, reflection, and coordination meetings to strengthen teamwork and adapt implementation as needed.
  • Produce accurate progress and donor reports, interpreting data to inform initiatives and communicate lessons learned.
  • Ensure compliance with gender equality, child protection, safeguarding, and security policies in all activities.
  • Support government stakeholders and partners for quality, timely delivery of agreed activities.
  • Manage and monitor project budgets, advances, and expenditures in line with objectives.
  • Supervise field activities to ensure alignment with donor regulations and organizational policies.
  • Foster collaboration and strong relationships with partners for effective project outcomes.
  • Comply with Plan International's global policy for Safeguarding and Gender Equality and Inclusion standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or similar field.
  • 3-5 years of experience with a proven record of success at a similar level preferably in an INGO sector.
  • Proven experiences and ability to coordinate and collaborate with different civil society and Community based organizations.
  • Experience in planning, conducting, and facilitating trainings/workshops.
  • Previous experience working on projects that promote gender equality.
  • Knowledgeable on gender sensitive approaches and the ability to apply them in project implementation and beneficiary engagement.
  • Understanding of basic gender and protection principles within humanitarian and development programs.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding, protection, and prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) principles.
  • Experience in supporting livelihood, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, or employability initiatives that promote women's participation and access to economic opportunities.
