The Partnerships Officer CST I supports WFP Ukraine in building partnerships and mobilizing resources across key areas such as emergency response, early recovery, agricultural mine action, social protection, and school feeding. The role involves developing partnership strategies, proposals, donor reports, and visibility plans to grow existing partnerships and attract new donors.
Responsibilities
- Support partnerships management: Play a lead role in developing partnership goals and strategy with the assigned partners; driving their implementation through annual workplans; facilitating and contributing to the development of new partnership collaboration areas; relationship cultivation; generating internal and external visibility; and reporting of partnership achievements and lessons learned.
- Coordinate input from technical leads/internal stakeholders to respond to partnership enquiries received by the Country Office.
- Development of proposals, reports and investment cases: in collaboration with colleagues in the partnership team, support the development of proposals, donor reports, investment cases and value propositions with a view to grow existing partnerships and attract new donors.
- Intelligence gathering and data analysis: collect and analyze information about donor and prospects’ foreign policy interests and their humanitarian and ODA policies to inform bespoke engagement plans for each prospect and donor.
- Create visibility plans: in collaboration with Communications Team, contribute to the development and implementation of visibility plans for each donor.
- Provide strategic, logistical, and programmatic support to the Partnerships Team and other WFP staff on key priority partnerships as needed, helping to raise awareness within WFP and with partners on WFP Ukraine objectives and priorities.
Requirements
- Minimum, Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, political science, public or business administration, economics, public relations or communications, or related fields. Preferably, advance degree as per above.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in international organization in partnerships and resource mobilization, proposal writing and donor reporting.
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills.
- Knowledge of public affairs and/or donor strategies and funding policies.
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, among others), email; familiarity with database management.
- Fluency (level C) in English.
