Senior Driver

Provide high-level, secure, and professional driving services to the Head of Office, including coordination with stakeholders, knowledge of diplomatic and UN protocols, and use of digital tracking systems. Also provide basic administrative and logistical support and contribute to the development of other drivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable and safe driving services to the Head of Office.
• Coordinate effectively and engage with protocol requirements.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance, readiness and respond to incidents.
• Use digital systems and devices for vehicle tracking and management.
• Provide administrative and logistical support.
• Guide and mentor junior drivers.
• Engage in learning and development during downtimes.

Requirements

• Secondary education is required, along with a valid driver's license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy, or UN system with a safe driving record is required.
• Knowledge in Protocol Compliance, Safe driving, Vehicle Tracking Systems, Vehicle maintenance is required.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
• Experience with VIP protocol, airport meeting protocol, emergency response and first-aid certification is an asset.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
