Intern for Partnerships and Financing for Sustainable Development for people with disabilities

This internship in the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office (RCO) in San Salvador is designed for a young student with a physical disability to contribute to inclusive participation and equal access to professional development opportunities. The intern will support interagency coordination, strategic planning, and financing for development under the supervision of the Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Officer.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the organization and systematization of interagency and multi-stakeholder meetings, promoting coherence and joint action across UN entities.
• Assist in the coordination and follow-up of interagency initiatives aligned with the UN Cooperation Framework and national development priorities.
• Support research and the development of knowledge products and tools related to innovative financing, including concept notes, briefs, and bulletins.
• Assist in the consultation processes for strategic planning exercises, including the Country Analysis, by compiling and organizing relevant inputs.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of resource mobilization strategies, including support to pooled funding mechanisms.

Requirements

• Applicants must be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) at the time of application.
• Fields of study may include, but are not limited to: International Relations, Public Administration, Political Science, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, or other related disciplines aligned with the work of the United Nations.
• Applicants to the UN Internship Program are not required to have professional work experience.
• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is required for the internship.
• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
