See your match score & applyThe MEAL Assistant Manager is responsible for managing all data procedures for the ECHO project, collaborating with staff involved in data collection, updating databases, conducting data audits, and analyzing data to measure program progress and document lessons learned. The role involves close work with health and reproductive health managers and contributing to project reports and evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the M&E Plan and indicator tracking matrix according to the project logical framework.
- Analyze project indicators and activities for project review meetings and reports providing reliable data.
- Contribute to the design and update of project data collection tools.
- Collect information defined in the project monitoring and evaluation framework.
- Periodically perform primary analysis of collected data.
- Ensure program data is shared according to guidelines and timelines.
- Ensure all indicators progress normally.
- Actively participate in evaluations: develop forms, collection methods, data processing and analysis, and preliminary report production as per plan.
- Document lessons learned to guide program strategy.
- Contribute to timely production of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and donor reports.
- Manage and update data in collaboration with program teams: CMAM, PID, MIPR, etc.
- Coordinate data collection, verification, compilation, analysis, and dissemination including GBV incidents using GBVIMS and other requested analyses.
- Ensure proper health data management in close collaboration with the project team.
- Ensure timeliness, completeness, and reliability of data and project reports.
- Prepare analysis reports highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and issues requiring decisions.
- Conduct regular field data audits to assess progress and identify technical quality or implementation issues, proposing solutions and adjustments as needed.
- Contribute to development of project evaluation methodologies.
- Ensure evaluation activities and reports are documented and archived.
- Configure data collection tools on CommCare and KoboCollect platforms.
- Collaborate with accountability focal point for complaint/feedback mechanism management.
- Contribute to client and partner satisfaction surveys related to accountability.
- Support all sectors for good management and analysis of routine data and quantitative and qualitative evaluations.
- Collaborate with the project team for proper implementation of activities, monitoring and evaluation of indicators within defined timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Demography, Epidemiology, Social Science, State Nursing Diploma or other equivalent university degrees.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position such as MEAL or data management.
- Mandatory computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ODK/CommCare/KoboCollect.
- Experience in timely transmission of weekly and monthly reports.
- Experience using CMAM and GBV/IMS tools.
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys with strong data analysis and writing skills.
- Strong skills in emergency program management, budgeting, planning, reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
- Knowledge of Gender, Gender-Based Violence, and Reproductive Health concepts.
- Experience working with international NGOs is an asset.
- Experience working with displaced persons, indigenous peoples, and refugees (NGO context).
- Interpersonal skills: works well in teams, comfortable in multicultural environments, flexible and able to work under pressure.
- Fluent spoken and written French.
- Perfect spoken Chadian Arabic.
