Consultation nationale junior/associée : appui à la contextualisation, à la cofacilitation, au suivi terrain et à la documentation du Kit Adolescent pour trois ministères partenaires

The junior national consultant will support UNICEF Algeria and senior consultant in contextualizing, co-facilitating, monitoring, and documenting the implementation of the Adolescent Kit for three partner ministries. The role involves operational support to training, duplication supervision, and documentation to enhance quality and adaptation to the Algerian context.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation, contextualization and consultations including documentary review and adaptation to Algerian context and mandates of three ministries.
• Assist consultations with UNICEF and ministry focal points through preparation of notes, reports, and context summaries.
• Support senior consultant in adapting examples, practical cases, exercises, feedback tools and duplication templates.
• Provide targeted support to three cycles of 5-day training of trainers, participating about 2 days per cycle.
• Support group work, practical exercises, simulations, pre/post-tests, feedback collection and learning documentation.
• Contribute to preparation and consolidation of duplication plans produced by participants.
• Participate with senior consultant in six supervised duplications, estimated at three days each, including observation, documentation, feedback collection and consolidation of findings.
• Contribute to debriefings with trained facilitators, identify improvement points and document adaptations during duplications.
• Ensure compliance with child safeguarding, consent, data protection and ethical documentation when interacting with adolescents or collecting personal data.
• Consolidate field notes, reports, observations, feedback, authorized photos/documentation and tools used.
• Contribute to technical annexes of final report including duplication synthesis, tools used, challenges, good practices and operational recommendations.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in training support, participatory facilitation, youth animation, non-formal education, adolescent development, child protection, social work, field documentation or related fields.
• Experience supporting trainings, workshops, consultations, group work or field activities with public institutions, international organizations, associations or local structures.
• Experience in analytical note-taking, feedback collection, practice documentation, report preparation, monitoring tools or report contributions.
• Experience working with adolescents, youth, animators, educators, social workers or community structures is an asset.
• Fluency in French and Arabic required; knowledge of English is an asset.
• Good understanding of life skills approaches, LSCE framework and preferably the Adolescent Kit or similar tools.
• Strong skills in participatory facilitation, adult learning, coaching, documentation and report writing.
• Ability to integrate inclusion, gender, disability, child safeguarding, ethics and data protection principles.
• Desirable: Experience with UNICEF, UN agencies or international partners.
• Desirable: Experience working with ministries or public institutions in Algeria.
• Desirable: Experience in adolescent participation, innovation, community engagement or social inclusion.
