Manage small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements initiated at a department or division level, leading the team through all phases including concept, development, implementation, and closeout. Ensure project plan, scope, schedule, risk, budget, and deliverables align with project goals. Provide support and leadership guidance to volunteers and comply with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team members’ milestones and performance compared to project plan, scope, budget, resources and schedule.
  • Provide communication within and outside of project, including progress updates to team, sponsor, stakeholders, and field.
  • Develop and prepare written project plans addressing tasks, roles and responsibilities, risk, resources, budget, communications, quality and organization.
  • Develop work breakdown structure (WBS) and perform critical path analysis to develop timelines for task completion.
  • Manage and update project activities throughout the project life cycle using WBS, schedule, budget and required reports.
  • Maintain and update project documentation including project plan, WBS, schedule, budget, risk plan, communication plan, table of organization, change control log, and reports.
  • Manage change control within project and obtain sponsor approval for changes affecting scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Acquire project charter from senior management and obtain sign off on statement of work by project sponsor.
  • Ensure scope, budget, and schedule targets are within variance and project delivery date is met.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in project management, business, information systems, health related, or other related discipline.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.
  • Progress toward Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
