See your match score & applyThe Information Technology Officer (Digital Solutions, ERP) is responsible for managing and delivering digital services and technology solutions related to FAO's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) environment, ensuring reliable support to the Organization's requirements. The role involves coordinating teams, leading continuous improvements, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with technical and security standards.
Responsibilities
- Manages the assigned programme of work, ensuring consistency with the overall strategic vision and enterprise architecture and alignment with Organization and CSI priorities.
- Addresses issues from programme interdependencies/gaps and resolves them as needed.
- Represents CSI Division in stakeholder discussions and represents divisional interests.
- Negotiates contractual and service agreements for digital products and/or services.
- Promotes and implements service improvement programmes and initiatives.
- Monitors, audits and reports on service performance to identify and address risks and ensure compliance with service level expectations.
- Manages the IT solutions and services life cycle from analysis to delivery and ongoing support.
- Manages assigned financial and human resources.
- Identifies, assesses and manages risks and proposes mitigation activities.
- Promotes cross-functional information sharing and collaboration within CSI and business teams.
- Identifies resource requirements, develops budgets and work plans, and advocates for additional resources.
- Coordinates initiatives under the Corporate Environmental Responsibility Strategy to reduce emissions and increase efficiency.
- Coordinates teams to maintain and support FAO's ERP environment per agreed service levels.
- Leads continuous improvements of FAO's ERP environment in cooperation with key users and technical teams.
- Identifies opportunities for further process automation and modernization using Oracle Fusion Cloud modules, other platforms, or technologies such as RPA and AI.
- Liaises with infrastructure providers and software/cloud vendors to resolve issues related to upgrades, implementation, migration, or bug fixes.
- Identifies security risks and ensures remediation actions with FAO CISO.
- Maintains Business Continuity Plans in consultation with stakeholders.
- Ensures strict adherence to change management and release management processes.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, information systems, software engineering, electric or electronic engineering, mathematics, statistics, business management or a related field.
- Seven years of relevant experience in managing teams, information technology and business processes in domain of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), preferably based on e-Business Suite and/or Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP Applications.
- Working knowledge (proficiency - level C) of English and intermediate knowledge (intermediate proficiency - level B) of another official FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).
- Work experience in more than one location or area of work, particularly in field positions.
- Extent and relevance of experience in managing large scale ERP environments, preferably in a public sector or international organization.
- Extent and relevant experience in business process automation, using ERP (Oracle eBusiness Suite or similar).
- Experience with Salesforce CRM and ServiceNow is an asset.
- Extent and relevance of experience in managing highly skilled teams in a hybrid cross-platform environment.
- Extent and relevance of experience in managing business stakeholders and technology partners.
- Extent and relevance of experience with providing services to clients.
- Knowledge and certification of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in drafting reports and documents in the required languages.
- Extent and relevance of experience in the field of the Corporate Environmental Responsibility is an asset.
