See your match score & applyThe Cold Chain Officer is responsible for technical contribution to the design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and administration of Immunization (EPI) programme/project activities. This includes data analysis, programme support, delivery, progress reporting, and capacity building to support immunization coverage expansion aligned with country programme goals.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate, complete and up-to-date programme/project management information for effective budget preparation, programme/project design, implementation, management and evaluation.
- Enhance project efficiency, effectiveness and vaccination coverage through effective implementation follow-on.
- Prepare progress reports and project work plans timely, and provide effective technical support in drafting donor, annual and other reports/project documentation related to EPI.
- Ensure appropriateness and completeness of financial and supply documentation as well as adherence to established allotments.
- Strengthen capacities of Country Office staff and teamwork through effective capacity building activities in the development, implementation and management of the Immunization Programme.
- Promote knowledge sharing with donors and media.
- Achieve effective communication, networking and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Health, Public Health, or a field relevant to technical assistance in immunization Supply Chain and Logistics (iSCL) is required.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in immunization supply chain strengthening, including the installation and maintenance of solar refrigerators and provision of technical support for other primary health care (PHC) infrastructure is required.
- Data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, coordination, management, project design skills and technical expertise is required.
- Proficient/Fluent level of English is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Experience with Liberian populations, similar development contexts, international organizations, or UNICEF is considered an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
