See your match score & applyThe Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of authorized personnel, vehicle maintenance, and providing administrative and logistical support. The role requires professionalism, courtesy, discretion, and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation to authorized personnel.
- Pick up and deliver correspondence, documents, and other items as required.
- Maintain a daily logbook recording trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and provide information for maintenance plans and usage reports.
- Perform routine vehicle checks (oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, etc.) and ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition.
- Carry out minor repairs and coordinate major repairs when necessary.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean and in proper condition for circulation at all times.
- Ensure availability and custody of all required documents and supplies, including insurance, registration, records, first aid kit, spare parts, communication and tracking equipment (VHF radios, satellite, GPS).
- Take immediate actions according to organizational norms and regulations in case of accidents.
- Support administrative or General Services areas in procurement processes, including obtaining quotations for office supplies.
- Inspect, distribute, and maintain inventory records of office supplies and equipment.
- Support facility management by coordinating minor repairs, liaising with technicians/providers, and maintaining updated service provider records.
- Monitor and support maintenance of office equipment to ensure optimal functioning, including timely follow-up of utility services.
- Respond promptly to repair and maintenance requests from authorized personnel.
- Support logistics for meetings, workshops, events, or others conducted under the Alternative Development Program.
Requirements
- Título de bachiller (Secondary school) with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Driver training and possession of a C2 driving license category.
- Experience in safe driving and minor vehicle repairs.
- Knowledge of Colombian traffic and transportation regulations as well as United Nations system regulations for passenger transport.
- Experience in multicultural environments or United Nations organizations in developing countries is valued.
- Experience in development or humanitarian contexts is valued.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent Spanish language proficiency.
