WatHab Engineer

The WatHab Engineer manages the infrastructure program of the PHILDFGASSENG general objective in the Philippines, overseeing the implementation of WatHab in Detention projects, managing the engineering team, and following up on the finance budget. The role supports technical engineering thematic for Water & Habitat team members and contributes to planning and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an integrated WatHab in Detention program aligned with delegation ambitions and partnerships with BJMP and BuCor.
• Manage the WatHab infrastructure program in detention including objectives, resources, and project reporting.
• Manage the WatHab in Detention infrastructure engineering team including 2-3 Resident Engineers responsible for project implementation.
• Support all other Water & Habitat team members in the Philippines in technical engineering thematic.
• Contribute substantially to the annual planning process (APM and PMfR) and other institutional reporting.

Requirements

• University degree (or equivalent) and qualifying experience in architecture, civil engineering, environmental engineering or related fields.
• Proficient in planning, organization and data-management software.
• Certified training in project management is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge in water and sanitation or construction is an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of Electromechanical &/or hydraulic engineering is preferred.
• Good command of English or French.
• 6 to 8 years of professional experience in project management in a thematic related to WatHab expertise.
• At least 1–2 years' professional experience at the ICRC or an international NGO is an asset.
• Experience working on projects and programmes.
• Experience coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience coordinating, planning and communicating with complex stakeholder groups.
• Experience managing 4–6 technical support staff.
