See your match score & applyThe Programme Associate (DRCCA) supports the implementation and delivery of Disaster Risk Reduction activities aimed at strengthening the resilience of disaster-prone communities in Afghanistan. The role involves logistical and administrative support, data collection, communication facilitation, and assistance in organizing community-based activities and trainings.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Programme Officer (DRR) and team in organizing project activities, including logistical and administrative support for meetings, trainings, and field visits.
- Support the collection, compilation, and basic review of project data and reports, contributing timely submission of required documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with sub-offices and project sites to gather updates and relay information as directed by supervisors.
- Facilitate information sharing and dissemination among project stakeholders, including preparing draft correspondence, meeting notes, and basic reports.
- Assist in the preparation of training materials, guidelines, and simple manuals under the guidance of technical staff.
- Provide administrative support for procurement, travel arrangements, and inventory management related to DRR project activities.
- Assist with the organization of community-based activities and trainings, including scheduling, participant lists, and logistical arrangements.
- Maintain project files, records, and databases, keeping information up to date and accessible for the team.
- Assist in the preparation of public information materials and success stories, as requested, in English and local languages, as required by the duty station.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Programme Officer (DRR) or designated supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma with five years of professional work experience; or, Bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with three years of relevant experience.
- Ability to collaborate with people from different ethnic and religious backgrounds.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel).
- Flexibility in working overtime when needed.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
