See your match score & applyThe Child Protection Officer supports the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of GBV prevention and risk mitigation interventions in South Sudan. The role provides technical support to UNICEF GBV and Child Protection partners, promotes safety and resilience of at-risk children, and strengthens community-based care systems.

Requirements
- Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Social Science, Public Health, gender studies, social work, psychology, sociology, international development, public policy, humanitarian studies, public administration or related fields.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in emergency, child protection, gender-based violence, child protection, protection in emergencies, GBV prevention, risk mitigation, case management, psychosocial support, monitoring and evaluation, program management, community engagement or related fields.
- Experience in child protection, case management, programme management, monitoring and evaluation, capacity building and partnerships.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is desirable.
- Experience with IASC GBV guidelines, GBV Minimum standards, Communities Care, EMAP, SASA, Interagency-GBV-Case-Management is considered an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
