Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of the FAGI grant ensuring full compliance with donor requirements.
- Oversee project implementation from inception through close-out, manage budgets and deliverables, coordinate across internal teams.
- Produce high-quality, data-driven reporting to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen collaboration across the humanitarian ecosystem by engaging NGOs, UN agencies, academia, and private sector partners.
- Foster meaningful engagement, facilitate timely information sharing, identify opportunities for collaboration, and help streamline processes to maximise impact and reduce duplication.
- Identify opportunities to build an engaging and collaborative Hub space within the FAGI project.
- Promote the Humanitarian Hub Initiative across Geneva based actors.
- Engage proactively with NGOs, networks, UN agencies and other relevant Geneva based actors to communicate about the project and look for synergies.
- Contribute to external fundraising efforts.
- Develop an effective communication strategy for the Humanitarian Hub and FAGI project.
- Coordinate grant implementation to ensure timely delivery in line with workplans and budget.
- Anticipate implementation challenges and advise management on adjustments or solutions.
- Maintain effective grant tracking tools and organized documentation for reporting and audit purposes.
- Act as liaison between programme, operations, and finance teams to support smooth delivery.
- Organise project kick-off, review, and close-out meetings to align teams and track progress.
- Provide guidance to colleagues to strengthen overall grant management capacity.
- Coordinate engagement with external actors involved or interested in the grant implementation.
- Monitor project budgets (non-staff costs) in coordination with budget holders and finance.
- Ensure financial reporting is accurate and aligned with programme progress and donor requirements.
- Serve as the main contact for day-to-day donor communication.
- Coordinate and quality assure donor reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Support donor briefings, strategic communications, and additional fundraising efforts.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with solid experience working in the humanitarian and/or development sector.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; fluency in French an advantage.
- Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and computer skills; experience with software such as Salesforce a plus.
- Well documented professional experience with institutional and/or private donors in grants management, reporting, budgets monitoring and monitoring donor commitments and compliance.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, including developing and reporting against logical frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- In-depth understanding of the Geneva-based humanitarian and policy landscape, including key UN agencies, NGOs, donors, and coordination fora.
- Strong networking and representational skills, with demonstrated ability to proactively engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders to advance strategic objectives and partnerships.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic communication and outreach approaches, including positioning initiatives for visibility, relevance, and fundraising.
- Ability to identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration, synergies, and streamlining across actors, translating engagement into concrete outcomes.
- Solid understanding of humanitarian policy, financing, and reform processes, including experience supporting external resource mobilisation efforts.
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and represent the organisation effectively in external forums.
- Demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking and initiative, including identifying opportunities, anticipating risks, and driving engagement independently.
- Experience producing high-quality external communications, including briefs, concept notes, talking points, and partnership materials.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving operational and strategic demands.
