The Asistente de Atención a necesidades básicas supports the Team Leader in the effective and high-quality implementation of emergency response programs, including in-kind and cash transfer modalities, and multisectoral interventions in Norte de Santander. The role involves operational activities ensuring compliance with DRC policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in rapid and efficient implementation of multisectoral interventions under in-kind and/or cash transfer modalities as agreed with the Basic Needs Team Leader.
  • Manage requests for preparation, distribution, execution, closure and accountability to the community for multisectoral interventions assigned by the Basic Needs Team Leader.
  • Ensure compliance with DRC policies, tools, manuals and guidelines.
  • Logistically support preparation of community activities.
  • Obtain all documents and delivery supports duly signed and validated.
  • Perform digital and physical filing for document safeguarding.
  • Support the construction and facilitation of workshops or community activities as required by the program.
  • Support needs assessments as requested by the Team Leader, Area Manager or Program Manager.
  • Ensure the team has all biosecurity elements, fleet and supplies required for field activities.
  • Report on the team's situation during community activities.
  • Maintain activity and route logs as required by the Liaison Officer.
  • Participate in preparation of monthly reports and budgets.
  • Support unspecified and spontaneous tasks related to operational and programmatic management of the Norte de Santander base as requested.
  • Support verification of humanitarian assistance items including expiry dates and inventory of supplies.
  • Participate in joint verification of goods, supplies and equipment acquired ensuring conformity with technical specifications and quantities.
  • Support minor purchases both in office and community related to emergency response team activities.
  • Maintain good communication and relationships with supply chain, logistics, finance, protection staff of DRC and associated organizational structures.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting verification of humanitarian assistance items including expiry dates and inventory of supplies.
  • Experience participating in joint verification of goods, supplies and equipment acquired, ensuring conformity with technical specifications and quantities.
  • Experience supporting minor purchases both in office and community related to emergency response team activities.
  • Ability to maintain good communication and constant relationship with supply chain, logistics, finance, protection staff of DRC and associated organizational structures.
  • Native Spanish language proficiency.
  • Demonstrated competencies in achieving excellence, collaboration, initiative, communication, and integrity aligned with DRC values.
