The consultancy supports IRC's protection programs in Honduras, focusing on psychosocial group support methodologies for survivors of violence against women and girls. The role aims to strengthen service provision ensuring safe, confidential, survivor-centered interventions aligned with inter-agency standards and IRC guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to minimum protection principles according to Inter-Agency GBV Programming Standards.
  • Develop group psychosocial support methodology with focus on protection and empowerment of women.
  • Create, design and prepare technical and recreational support materials for thematic modules.
  • Develop age-appropriate groups including client needs assessment and basic crisis counseling.
  • Collaborate with case managers to respond to survivor needs and referrals.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders including community leaders and implementing partners.
  • Complete monthly activity reports as guided by Project Lead.
  • Maintain updated files of groups served and quality verification according to closure dates.
  • Upload data as per MEAL processes in relevant applications.
  • Monitor attendance and dropout rates of clients in each support group.
  • Apply pre and post tests in coordination with MEAL team.
  • Develop strategic planning to achieve projected results validated by supervisor.
  • Maintain updated directory of key actors in intervention municipalities.
  • Contribute key protection context information for monthly reports.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs.
  • Ensure mobility for project activities in selected intervention zones.

Requirements

  • Experience in individual psychosocial intervention from psychology, social work or related field.
  • Experience in accompaniment and implementation of psychosocial methodologies directed at women.
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients.
  • Positive and professional attitude including ability to lead and work well in a team environment.
  • Mobility in intervention zones selected for project execution.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in psychology, social work or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in psychosocial support or protection programs.
