See your match score & applyThe Grants Coordinator is responsible for the timely and effective management of a multi-donor grant portfolio. This position leads all functions of the grants unit at IRC Lebanon, inclusive of proposal development, reporting, portfolio management, and donor compliance.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify new funding opportunities by monitoring and analyzing donor strategies and funding trends.
- Support program design and lead Go/No Go meetings for funding opportunities.
- Oversee development of concept notes and proposals, including writing and editing.
- Facilitate cross-departmental coordination and ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Act as focal point for grants administration communications with region and HQ.
- Review donor agreements and coordinate approvals and signatures.
- Lead project revisions, amendments, and budget realignments.
- Maintain grants tracker and filing system, and update Opportunity Tracking Information System (OTIS).
- Participate in due diligence and partnership risk management.
- Strengthen capacity of IRC and partner staff in grants management through training and support.
- Provide technical guidance on donor compliance and coordinate with HQ on compliance matters.
- Oversee development and delivery of internal and external reports, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Directly supervise two Grants Managers and lead the grants unit.
- Coordinate performance management and recruitment within the department.
- Maintain professional relations and provide oversight and guidance to staff.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in grants management in a multi-donor, multi-sector working environment.
- Demonstrated experience in an inter-departmental coordination role and the ability to communicate with and balance the priorities of a range of stakeholders.
- Extensive experience leading the successful development of multi-sector funding proposals across a range of public and private donors.
- Advanced skills in donor report drafting and compilation, including the coordination of inputs and across different departments.
- Exceptional English writing and editing skills required. Able to draft and edit detailed documents for donor submission with minimal oversight.
- In-depth knowledge of institutional donor compliance required.
- Exceptional advance planning and organizational skills. Able to effectively prioritize and follow multiple activities and deadlines simultaneously.
