The Camp Save a Life Camp Counselor is responsible for handling telephone calls, greeting visitors, providing general information about the organization, and maintaining visitor logs. This role involves task-oriented assignments primarily within the immediate work unit and requires good communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Receive telephone calls and refer them to the appropriate individual or department.
  • Take and transcribe messages to ensure prompt transmission to the appropriate party.
  • Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate individual.
  • Provide general information about the organization to outside callers (e.g., applicants, and vendors).
  • May ensure that a visitor's log is maintained and issue visitor's badges.

Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required.
  • 1 year of related experience preferred.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computer use, Microsoft Office Suite, use of office equipment.
  • Standard typing skills required.
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Physical requirements include ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time.
  • May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
