The Camp Save a Life Camp Counselor is responsible for handling telephone calls, greeting visitors, providing general information about the organization, and maintaining visitor logs. This role involves task-oriented assignments primarily within the immediate work unit and requires good communication and basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Receive telephone calls and refer them to the appropriate individual or department.
- Take and transcribe messages to ensure prompt transmission to the appropriate party.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate individual.
- Provide general information about the organization to outside callers (e.g., applicants, and vendors).
- May ensure that a visitor's log is maintained and issue visitor's badges.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent required.
- 1 year of related experience preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of personal computer use, Microsoft Office Suite, use of office equipment.
- Standard typing skills required.
- Ability to work on a team.
- Physical requirements include ability to use a personal computer, applicable software, and office equipment for sustained periods of time.
- May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
